What happened?
I have loved American Apparel over the years. My most comfortable shirts. Something has changed. The tank top is rough and scratchy. Boxy in shape. Feels like something I could have purchased at Walmart. The hoodie isn’t much better. The zipper isn’t smooth. Pretty frustrating. I feel like maybe AA is importing junk and slapping their name on it. I’ll find another brand for the future.
Perfect
My favorite tops have always been late 90s/early 00s gliden 100% cotton blank tank tops but nowadays they’re getting hard to find. When I saw that LA apparel was making 100% cotton blank tank tops I got super excited. It did not disappoint. I have this in both a large and an extra large. I normally wear an XL but in this the large is perfect. The XL is good too just really baggy. The large fits like an XL. Great weight, perfect cut. I highly recommend.

The thickness and quality of the material is unmistakable. The dyeing gives the garment a rich, vibrancy. I would size down one size if you want ‘slimmer’ but not restrictive fit.

Would order a large for my boyfriend next time. He’s 6’0” and lean. I figure medium would fit since the model is 6’5”.
I love the way how heavy they feel. The thickness of the material. Love the shirts. Only thing is for the XL I wish they dropped a little lower length wise. Aside from that they’re great!
