United StatesIt's clearly a knock off. It is similar to the original American Apparel hoodie, but there are some differences. It's longer, the cuffs are tighter, the seams on the cuffs are different, and the strings are incredibly short. All that said, the original hoodie is discontinued, so this is a reasonable alternative if you like the Flex Fleece hoodie.

I ordered a medium size and it seems small like it’s a woman’s medium. Guess that’s what unisex means for this item. After washing it I discovered the draw string had come out, I was able to feed it back through and tied knots on the ends to prevent recurrence. The gray color is darker than what I was expecting from the picture, wish it was lighter. On the plus side it’s lightweight and comfortable, and despite fitting small its not tight, it works. I wear it daily.

For ages I've been trying to find a replacement for the AA hoodie, it saw well over 10+ years of use and only recently started to fray. Everything I've ordered hasn't been close to the same until I found this one. Finally the same hoodie, the arms are long enough, isn't tight and is very well made - it does shrink in the dryer if you put it in there the first time, knowing this from other reviews I got an XL and it did shrink to a large which is what I typically order and it fits to what I like, a little loose and not super tight, although these are already quite roomy so I could likely get away with an L and shrink it to an M. Needs way more vibrant colors though! My last AA hoodie was a nice purple, needs more other than red and different shades of blue and gray!
