Great shorts. Perfect length, very comfortable. Only complaint is the color; much lighter than pictured. Otherwise a must have! I sized up from my original size, opting for a 31 over a 30. Very happy I did.

I have a hard time with shorts fitting my butt and waist at the same time (usually the waist is too big and the butt fits or the waist fits and my butt if hanging out). These have the perfect ratio.

These shorts are so flattering, they're the perfect length and they fit really well in all the right places. The only thing I'll say is that I ordered the medium wash but what I received looks almost exactly like the light wash, which is a little disappointing. For reference, I have a 29 inch waist and 38 inch hips, and the size 30 fits great.

I was looking for shorts that weren’t too short that can also be stylish. I absolutely love these shorts. They are extremely comfortable. Very cute with sneakers! They also don’t have the annoying gap around the waist. They fit very snug and compliment your curves. The light was also look really nice in person.

My eternal struggle is a small waist paired with wider hips and bum. I’ve had the worst luck trying to find denim shorts my whole life and had just about given up until I saw these! Having read a review from someone who sounds like they’re shaped a lot like me, I decided to give em a shot and SO GLAD I DID!! I finally have denim shorts that fit my body and are flattering. I’ve often been hesitant of American Apparel (LA Apparel now) shorts because they are so diddly-dang short (I am tall, so this is a treacherous territory if I don’t want to look ****). However, these are the perfect length. I can roll them up if I want them to be shorter, but as is: the material is awesome, the quality is awesome, and I look forward to wearing them all summer!

Just what i was looking for! Short enough to still be cute, but juuust long enough to eliminate the under-butt cleavage look that I feel I am growing out of as I pass the 25 year mark. I am 5'8 and 145-150 lbs, 28'' waist, wide hips. I bought the size 29'' shorts and they fit perfectly snug. If you have hip curves and/or a big butt, I recommend going one size up in these (or any denim product from LA Apparel in my experience). For reference, I am almost always a size 6 in other brands, but wear a size 8/29'' for this brand.
