I wore this to an outdoor wedding on New Years and it fit right into the black tie dress code. I'm 5'8 and all over the map in terms of sizing (XS-M depending on the style) so I got the XS/S but I could've easily been fine with the M/L. The smaller size went nicely with my floor length dress and gloves and didn't feel out of place for a dressy event.
